A Simple AU

Nelly looked up at Oliver, considered what she felt, considered what she could feel him feeling, and made a decision. Then she leaned up, reached up, and tugged him down to kiss him firmly on the mouth with every ounce of want in her.

She raised an eyebrow. "When, exactly, have I ever done anything I didn't explicitly want to do?" She pressed a kiss to the corner of his lips before arching her throat for him to nuzzle as he liked. "You know me, Ollie. I always do exactly what I want."

"I know. I love that about you."

He nuzzled a moment longer, and then nuzzled down to let himself have what he wanted.

...she wasn't wrong about the consequences. But that was why she insisted that when they came back, they came back to Oliver's apartment instead of the Center. Mostly because there was a shower within a private space here as opposed to the Center.

"Because I'm going to need a shower." A glance up at him with a smile. "And you're probably going to need one too."

He smiled softly and started the water for her. "I could shower with you, if you wanted. For efficiency."

She looked at him and then the shower. "For efficiency." ...there was nothing efficient about it. And half the tiles were cracked by the time Oliver carried her out. But they were actually clean. Clean and, once they were dry, curled up on his bed. She ducked her head down into a pillow and breathed in. "Mmmm, your bed smells like you." And she flopped back almost exactly as her stomach growled.

He rolled over to kiss her and stroke over her belly. "And now it will smell of you too." He nuzzled their noses together. "I love you, Eleanore." And then he heard and felt her stomach growl. "But, I should return you to the Center now."

"I love you too, Oliver. Always." She grumbled and curled up against him. "Dun wanna. Can't we order in some food and stay here?" She looked up at him. "I'll go home tomorrow. As far as anyone knows, I just spent the night." And she'd done that often enough.

"All right, Nel."

He cuddled up again, not feeling like denying her anything tonight.

"What would you like to order?"

She glanced up at him. "I dunno. We never get stuff in at the Center. What sounds good to you?"

"Steak." It was what he usually wanted. "But, that would be difficult to order. We could try pizza or Indian."

"We can do steak if you do Chinese," she pointed out, "it'd just be mixed with vegetables, which are also good for you. Sound like a plan?"

He smiled and nodded and reached over to grab his netbook. "August Moon is right across the street."

She leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Perfect. I know what I want, then." And she tucked up against him and clung close as he pulled up the website, nuzzling up to his throat.

Oliver made his order quickly, and then passed her the netbook so he could hold her while she made hers.

She grinned as she took it and made her order quickly, sending off the order before closing it and putting it aside. Then she could cuddle up properly. "I'm so happy. Like... you have no idea how happy I am. I am just... so happy to be here, with you. With this."

"I feel the same way." He cuddled in closer. "I have been in love with you since your 13th birthday."

She looked up, surprised. "Really?" She grinned a little. "I fell for you a bit before that. Just a bit. But even I knew I was way too young." She reached up to trace his features. "You're beautiful." She ran her finger down his cheek bone. "Not... just this. Your emotions. Your heart. I could live my life with just you and be happy."

"I was too old for you then, but not so much now."

He nuzzled into her hand and kissed it.

"I have strong emotions most of the time. Many of them very dark. You will have to tell me if it becomes overwhelming."

She shakes her head. "No, no, I love it. I love all of them. Hot and wild." She shivered but it clearly wasn't fear. "Dark and ravenous." She petted his hair again. "It swallows me up and it feels amazing."

He chuckled then. "No wonder you love Sebastien too."

She started pressing small kisses all over his cheeks. "Not like I love you. But you're not wrong."

"I know. My love for you is different, but I also love Sebastien." He kissed her back here and there. "I think he will be happy for us."

She couldn't help smiling into the kisses. "He will be." She tilted her head for a moment. "Will you stop going to him?" A pause, because they were different questions. "Do you want me to stop going to him?"

He shook his head. "He needs us as much as we need him."

She nodded and kissed him again. "I'm glad you feel that way. It wouldn't be right just to leave him because we found each other." She leaned up against him. "Is his scent on me going to bug you?"
